Surrounded by beautifully decorated tables, UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, UPMC Living-At-Home Program and the Program for Health Care to Underserved Populations along with LHAS celebrated its volunteers at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on May 19, 2011 at the Herberman Conference Center auditorium.
Volunteers gathered to hear opening remarks from Deborah Redmond, Vice President Ambulatory Care Services, UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. Laura Penrod Kronk, LHAS President gave a warm welcome, and the group enjoyed a wonderful lunch and a presentation by Maureen Murray, contributor to the book Chicken Soup for the Volunteer Soul. Several awards were presented, then Dee Dee Troutman, LHAS Executive Director gave out the LHAS Scholarship Awards.

After the speakers finished, 25 gift baskets were raffled off to the volunteers. All 25 baskets were purchased, put together and donated to the luncheon by our own Laura Kronk! Thank you Laura!
