In-House Fundraising Sales

We have approximately six to eight in-house fundraising sales every year. We are always looking for volunteers to work the sales by helping UPMC employees fill out payroll deduction forms. Duties include verifying proper UPMC employee identification (which includes verifying their eligibility), writing their eight to nine digit employee identification number on the form and making sure all information is correctly filled out. Shifts and hours are extremely flexible. These sales raise approximately $20,000 every year, so volunteering your time is extremely beneficial!

The next In-House Sale is Wednesday and Thursday March 23 & 24, 2011 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Biomedical Science Tower Foyer and is featuring HAS sheets with solid, print, embroidered flannel, dorm and children's sheets. Comforter sets also will be available.

All major credit cards, cash and payroll deduction with employee ID (one-time only) will be accepted. All proceeds benefit LHAS social services.

Volunteers needed for the In-House Sales!

LHAS has many exciting opportunities for member involvement. By becoming a member and actively participating in LHAS activities, you not only give back to your community, you also gain valuable friendships that will bless you for the rest of your life. You really cannot get to appreciate LHAS and the wonderful people associated with it unless you get involved. For a few hours every month, you can help at the In-House sales, assist in the LHAS office, or show your display expertise at the gift shops.

Or if you want more responsibility, you can work on a weekly or daily basis and take charge of specific projects and/or events. The people working and volunteering at LHAS are professional, dedicated, and FUN! There are few other places where you can do so much and have a great time simultaneously.

And if you also want meaningful involvement, the many wonderful LHAS outreach programs will make your heart glow. From helping patients and family members celebrate birthdays while in the hospital, to teaching dance steps to young people, LHAS allows you to have a real impact on the lives of people in need.

Get involved with In-House Sales, Emergency Care Packages, outreach with Urban Impact, or a variety of other activities LHAS conducts throughout the year. Better yet, get your family members and friends involved as well!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

1. Working in the LHAS office.
2. Working in the LHAS Gift shops.
3. Sharing your expertise in accounting, marketing, grant writing, photography, history, graphic design, strategic planning, underwriting, developmental/fundraising, journalism, web design/maintenance, legal, and fashion/modeling.
4. Working on committees such as special events/projects, Parliamentarian, Membership, policies & procedures, strategic planning, Gala, In-House fundraising, UPMC Liaison, Volunteen, Youth Out-Reach, Social Service, Volunteer Recognition and others.
